Rx Solutions

J.N. Savasta Corp. in partnership with its affiliated company Broadreach Medical Resources Inc., has developed proprietary Rx products that help employers more efficiently manage their Rx solutions while providing a better member experience. Additionally, Broadreach Medical Resources Inc. has the only fully insured, ACA compliant, stand-alone Rx product in the industry.

Health Care Reform – The delivery of healthcare and health insurance has become a highly political topic, with Republicans and Democrats attempting to shape legislation and create an environment of uncertainty. As a result, it has become increasingly important to partner with a company that is well-versed in these changes. J.N. Savasta Corp. is that partner.

The Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) – ERISA is a federal law that sets minimum standards for most voluntarily established pension and welfare plans in private industry to provide protection for employees. Maintaining compliance with ERISA is of paramount importance when developing an employee benefit offering. J.N. Savasta Corp. works with ERISA attorneys to ensure we understand all ERISA requirements pertaining to our client’s programs.

Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) – The FLSA establishes minimum wage, overtime pay, record keeping, and child labor standards affecting full-time and part-time workers’ both in the private sector and in government. The conversation around worker’s pay and rights has resulted in a number of requirements, and J.N. Joseph Savasta

President

Joseph Savasta, President, founded J.N. Savasta Corp. in 1989 to be a premiere New York-based employee benefit brokerage and consulting firm. The company, which currently administers benefits, supplemented by additional products, services and employee retirement programs, serves plan participants for groups operating in most states, as well as Europe and Asia. As a business professional with equity participation in several ventures, Joseph has expertise in start-up organizations where he has been able to implement successful sales and marketing strategies which have rapidly made these organizations financially solvent. This tremendous growth is attributed to each company’s reputation for extensive product knowledge and thorough service.

A Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Buffalo, holding a degree in Business Management, Joseph did his graduate studies in International Business and Finance at New York University. A member of the Board of Directors of the Viscardi Center, as well as the Board of Directors of Abilites Inc., Joseph has been recognized for his philanthropic involvement and support of numerous non-profit and community service organizations. With his leadership, J.N. Savasta Corp., and our employees, proudly support The Viscardi Center, St. Francis College, UCP of Utica, Feed the Children, City Harvest, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Wounded Warriors, and many other worthy causes and institutions.

Timothy N. Teen

Chief Operating Officer

Tim is focused on developing new solutions to address client challenges, enhancing customer service and satisfaction, as well as improving the overall member experience within the healthcare sector. He is doing this by leading a collaborative team of professionals to provide innovative, cost effective, healthcare solutions.

Tim is a successful entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience. Throughout his career, he has successfully led teams that have increased revenue, improved profits and managed organizations through growth, transition and change. Tim has founded many companies, serving diverse markets and clients, including a government services firm (which consummated one of the largest real estate transactions on an Army base), a $100mm early-stage investment fund (with exits to Apple, Motorola, Google, Laird, etc.) and several firms in the healthcare finance and healthcare technology space.

He has a practical approach to translating competencies into competitive advantages and brand identities. Tim’s experience in leading cross functional, multi-national teams will allow him to focus on creating value for clients, stakeholders and partners while delivering on aggressive objectives to address market needs. He has leveraged these skills to lead BMR’s team in their focus on serving clients.

Tim has a dual major, Bachelor of Science in both Marketing and Management from Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ. Among his many accomplishments, Tim is most proud of being a recipient of the Secretary of the Army Public Service Award, one of the highest civilian distinctions bestowed, for his work in support of the children of military families.

Russ Cusick

Director HR Solutions

Joining J.N. Savasta as Director Human Resource Solutions in 2018, Russ has been in the Human Resources Field for over 20 years. For much of that time, Russ served as Chief People Officer for a Global Business Process Outsourcing company, delivering all aspects of Human Resources to all internal employees, while also consulting with the company’s top clients on best practices in the fields of benefits, talent management, legal compliance, payroll, employee relations and training and development.

Holding a degree from Southern Methodist University, with post degree study and certification in HR Management from Villanova University, Russ maintains an SPHR with the Human Resource Certification Institute and holds his SHRM-SCP with the Society for Human Resource Management.

Russ is honored to serve as Board Chairman for the Viscardi Center. In the past, Russ has also served as Board Chairman for Abilities, Inc., on the Business Advisory Council for YAI and the Corporate Advisory Board of the Doe Fund.

Russ was awarded the 2008 Title 1 ADA award by Mayor Michael Bloomberg and was recognized as a 2015 Young Adult Employer Champion by the National Fund for Workforce Solutions. In addition, Russ was recognized with a Gold Stevie Award as 2016 HR Executive of the Year by the American Business Awards.

Anneliese Balazs

Senior Vice President

Mrs. Balazs joined our firm in 2010 in an Account Management and Sales Support capacity and has progressed into her current role as a Senior Vice President. In addition to the design and development of our client’s employee benefit plans, Anneliese has been instrumental in developing J.N. Savasta Corp’s implementation and marketing for the Affordable Care Act as well as developing strategic partnerships that have helped to support our client’s requirements.

Her considerable expertise and years of experience allow her to be a client advocate and problem solver as health care models continue to evolve. She presently serves as a final advocate for our corporate clients.

Anneliese holds a B.A. in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Prior to that, Ms. Balazs attended the Dimitrie Cantemir Law School in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

Jonathan Conaghan

Vice President

Jonathan Conaghan joined J.N. Savasta Corp. in 2012. He was initially hired as an account executive tasked with business development and has since progressed into his current role as a Vice President. While with J.N. Savasta Corp. he has worked as part of a team to develop a best in class administrative platform for assisting clients with regulated wage, hour and fringe benefit compliance.

Jonathan’s focus is understanding the various intersecting regulations affecting J.N. Savasta Corp.’s clients and leveraging that knowledge to implement valued benefit programs while keeping clients up to date on all relevant regulatory changes.

Prior to joining J.N. Savasta Corp. Jonathan worked at AXA Advisors as an insurance consultant where he assisted employers in implementing cost efficient employee benefit programs. He also assisted individuals with life insurance and financial planning.

Vlad Tiganescu

Director, Account Management

Vlad Tiganescu joined J.N. Savasta Corp. in 2013 and initially worked in an Account Management role. In this role, Vlad handled the processing of client’s eligibility, assisting with billing, claims submission, resolution and follow-up, general client administration, as well as handling annual renewals. While with J.N. Savasta Corp. Vlad has taken on new roles and additional responsibilities including leading up operations of the Fixed Cost Division. In this role, he oversees day to day administrative functions of the unit. He has also lead up several new projects including the filing of 6055-6056 reporting for J.N. Savasta Corp. clients’ Affordable Care Act compliance. Mr. Tiganescu holds a B.A. in Marketing from the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration of Bucharest.

This tremendous growth is attributed to the company's reputation for extensive product knowledge and thorough service.
